Default Options for stronger 6th gear?

My understanding is that the factory 6th gear is not physically strong enough to take big power.

I am familiar with the G-Force replacement overdrive sets. What other options are there?

Where the hell are you going to be going fast enough to even use 6th under extreme power?

You'll need to be trapping above 160mph for that, not to mention about 1100+hp to do it. I wouldn't even be thinking about something like that, although it would be fun though

To quote Bill Cosby: "Any side street".

Anybody got a useful response?

I suspect either to infinity and beyond, or the land speed record.

I would say G Force stuff is the highest quality stuff avalible for the T56.."IF" you could pull 6th gear hard enough to brake it on the roll, then if you think you may be able to it might be time for a different transmission... T56 is like a 7.5 rear end in the racing transmission world...

I have one customer that has a Viper that makes 1400whp, and it has destroyed 2 fifth gears in stock format and 1 5th gear in G-force form. The fact of the matter is that the gear is physcialy too small to take the large doses of Horsepower that some people have, no matter what material it is made of. At power levels above 1000whp another issue that needs to be addressed is the coupler that connects the cluster to the 5/6 and rev, as I have seen lots of those broken in cars that roll race and do the stading miles events.

MY 5th runs well past 160mph still. I can't imagine needing 6th, ever.
