Default Clutch Questions

Ok, a completely stock 99 trans am, getting some loud vibration in my shifter and i can hear it underneath me, even feel the ****. So i dont know **** about it but what could that be? Ive heard the throwout bearing, and im told i should replace my clutch assembly. what clutch assembly should i get? remember im completely stock but will be doin little performance stuff to it soon. nothing big tho its a daily driver. and should i also change out the flywheel also if im replacing the clutch assembly? so all you tech guys let me know what i should get or whatever.

Thanks

You need to be a bit more specific to the vibration. When does it do it? When you're coming to a stop? When downshifting? High RPM's? Does it sound like something is rubbing or grinding?

If you're stock and plan on mild mods, a clutch like the LS6 will be a good clutch. For the LS6 however, you will need an LS2 flywheel. Since your car is a 99, you might also look into upgrading the hydraulics to those from an 01-02.

when i shift gears, as i shift it will make the vibration right before i put it in the next gear, and only once in a while it will make the vibration when im comming to a stop as i put the clutch in.
