Clutch slipping after swap to LQ9
I swapped out my LS1 for an LQ9 (out of a 2003 silverado SS).
I put the right pilot bearing in and bolted everything else.
I bled the clutch with the bleeder screw. (I tried to bleed it with the mityvac..vut it didnt work / wondering if that could ruin any seals.)
Now I only have to push the clutch in very little to get it to dissengage. I drove it 4 miles, after a new cam I'm trying to keep it lower RPM to break everything in and all. But it definently slipps alot. I also have the spec 3 clutch, and everything worked fine with the LS1.
at least I'm pretty sure its an LQ9... but im not sure..
Any ideas. I would really appreciate any help.

I have been helping him with this car and to me it feels like the clutch is too tight. Kinda like there is no play in the pedal. You have to let the clutch out most of the way before it will start to move. I read somewhere that on some of the 6.0 engines that the crank snout was longer so an M6 wouldn't work because it would put too much pressure on the clutch. Something like you had to use the LS1 crank or take off some spacer or something.

I have a 6litre iron block with my 6 speed and no problem's like that about the crank. Did you put the spacer in. Dosn't the spec require you to use the spacer? But if you have the spacer already in then it would let the clutch out at the top. If so try and take it out?

Update: I bought a new clutch Spec 2+ and put it all together. now my pedal doesnt come all the way up. I hae bled it numerous times so im sure that isnt the issue. Now i didnt install the space because i was told it was a NO-no and wasnt needed. and now i have run across some info, that says the spacer is meant to be installed when an old flywheel is used. I read that the spacer is supposed to move the engagement point up higher.
anyone know if this is true? or can explain how this works.
