Anyone else have issues with ARP flywheel bolts?

I started this thread about clutch not disengaging https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/766004-clutch-disengaging-problem.html

I had my tranny on/off several times trying to troubleshoot the issue with shims, when I finally gave up and decided to go back to my Centerforce steel flywheel which was working fine previously. It turned out that the heads on the ARP flywheel bolts I used were too tall, and were interfering with the clutch disk.

With the flywheel on my bench I dropped the ARP bolts in, then layed the disk on top of it. The bolts being too tall kept the disk from touching the flywheel and there was roughly 2mm of space between disk/flywheel.

After throwing stock GM flywheel bolts on which are much shorter than the ARP ones, everything fit together flush like it should. I buttoned up the car last night and took her out for a spin woohoooooo!

I didn't have any issues using them with my RPS flywheel/clutch. I'll keep it in the back of my mind though for future clutch installs...

I use Centerforce dual friction 12" clutch, and the bolts interfered with it regardless of Fidanza flywheel or Centerforce flywheel.

Mmhmm so it seems to be the clutch design, perhaps?

Default I had the same issue

I went through the exact same thing. I was installing an Exo skell twin disk and found out that you have to reuse the stock flywheel bolts. I wish my clutch came with directions that would have explained this to me.

Hmm, so certain mfg's seem to have issues. Wish I knew this a couple weeks ago. Oh well, I'm really good at removing/re-reinstalling the tranny now

I'm having the same problem, I bought a centerforce flywheel, centerforce dual friction clutch and pressure plate, ARP flywheel bolts but the ARP flywheel bolts are a little too tall. the springs from the clutch disc are touching the head of the ARP flywheel bolts.
the worst part is I need to find some stock GM flywheel bolts now. sheeeeesh

I'm having the same problem. Just like JOEZ said on post #1. Just by 2mm its touching.
ok here the part numbers I have
this is going into a 2008 LS3 mated to a t56

Here's what I bought from summintracing:

ARP-330-2802 CHVY LS1 11MM Flywheel bolts
ARP-134-2201 Pressure Plate Bolt kit
CTF-700142 CenterForce Flywheel
CTF-DF612909 CenterForce Clutch Kit

I bought all this in January of 2008
Now in Dec of 2009 I just checked the CenterForce website and found a clutch kit that should fit with the ARP flywheel bolts. It's a clutch kit for the 2010 6.2L LS3 Camaro.
the part number is DF593010

I'm just ordered the Stock GM flywheel bolts part number 12563533 - BOLT 6 of them last week, I'm still waiting on them... I hope they fit, if not I'm gonna have to sell the DF612909 clutch kit and buy the DF593010 Clutch Kit.

Hope this Help clear up the problem...
I'll let you guys know if the GM 12563533 - BOLT solves the porblem.

I wonder if this is the same issue i'm having with my monster stg 3 and light flywheel. Ever since I installed the clutch (i'm on my second) the pedal has engaged damn near right off the floor and I can't bleed it with any success. I need to look into this, I've had my tranny out 4 times in the last few months trying to figure it out and never thought to check bolt clearance.
