Default Trouble to sixth.

Did the drill mod and started to notice trouble getting into 6th. If I get into the gear, it DOESN'T pop out. I now can finally get into 3rd without a problem at high rpms. What gives? I've bled and rebled.

My WS6 has straight cut gears in the M6 and I have trouble getting into sixth. I have to let the engine rev down to the cruising rpm or less. If I don't, I hear a sound like a nail against a fan blade. Have you tried disengaging at different RPM's?

Who supplies straight-cut (spur) gears for the T56? By the way, how the gears are cut has no effect on shifting a constant-mesh transmission. Spur gears are stronger (and noisier) than helical gears but the same synchros and dog teeth would do the shifting.

I hear no noise. I do have Flowmaster Delta 40's... I hear a slight bit when I stop, but I have to listen for it. I'm not sure if it's my M6, but 1st, 2nd, and 3rd feel gritty. I had the trans checked by the local F-body transmission shop and it was solid. Maybe it's my tune. It does feel a bit like a train chugging at an ultra fast speed. Assuming this isn't bad, the car kicks ***.

I used to get into gear fine. but it's only recently become a problem. Although the nail against a fan is a good description of what I hear. I also have the let the revs go all the way down. I'm just wondering if the drill mod could have caused this.

Does it feel like a nail against a fan or a marble against a fan? I know my manual truck has stock gears (angled) and they feel like they roll like a marble hitting a fan.
