The Spec 3 si def not a great street clutch, your not supposed to slip it, the 3+ due to being a full disk as opposed to a puck style allows for better streetability and live. For a street car making less then 500 rwhp, you may wan to consider LS7.

Also pls list your mods, future mods and power expectation, also is this a street only, street/strip use??

I drive my spec 3 on the street,,hell,,i use it to go to the store for milk and such. I love it. Hooks like an animal. But i have no issues driving it through slower city driving and such.

The problem is when driven like a stock clutch they burn up quick ave life exp is 7-12k. I have personally done 3 clutch swaps due to that hunk o junk pucked clutch.

A friend who had a 420 rwhp cam only z28 on the way back from E-town to CT on the George Washington Bridge got caught in a traffic jam and had to ride that clutch like a ******, I joked about burning it up, the scoffed back me. Low in be hold, with in 3 months it slips in 6ths on the freeway. We pull it off and looks like it totally burned it up. The clutch had about 10k on it, street and strip use.

Its fine to drive, just dont slip like a stock clutch.

The 3+ is going to be smoother to drive. We sell tons of 3's too but they are going to have a greater tendency to chatter because they are pucked. That being said, driver and driving style have a great effect on this. Slipping any clutch excessively can cause premature wear. However, I had a conversation with a customer last week that had 70K on his stage 3 and he swore by it. It comes down to preference, if you are worried about smoothness then get the 3+ as it really is a driver friendly and torque capable kit. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!!!

I vote 3+ for the better drivability and less chatter.

this is a no brainer- full face compared to puck style. The 3+ is more forgiving.

3+, I had mine installed about 800mi ago and by 450 or so the chatter from taking off from a stop is almost completely gone, I have a 150 TNT shot on my car and last night, I went to the track and was holding up to it very very well no slip at all with about 600+/-rwtq. Too bad iI didn't run what I wanted to due to hydrolics problems.

Had them both and like everyone says, the 3+ is the better clutch in every way--less chatter, no noise, equal grip and better driveability.

I had a 3...it also lasted about 12K or so and chattered a lot with relatively minor abuse. Not sure about the 3+ since I was done with Spec after that. I went with the LS7 and its doing great so far.

For the normal guy that wants the best feeling daily driven clutch that can handle big power and abuse the stage 3+ is the way to go. I have driven the preoverbial $%@& out of mine on the street, drag-strip, and road course and it has been bulletproof. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
