Problems bleeding McLoud adj. master cylinder.
Ok, well we got the new clutch, flywheel, & slave in and did the drill mod. Pretty much everything's back together and we're trying to bleed the system, but the pedal just doesn't want to build up any pressure. The little bit of pressure it does build up is all the way down by the floor. When we try to adjust it, we lose all pressure. WTF???? Any ideas? Did anyone else have these problems with theirs?

I just went through this with mine when the the slave went. I had to pull it out and bench bleed it. while I had it out I also bleed the slave cyl, I hooked the master to it with it under the car and bleed it. that way any air still in the master wored its way up into the slave and out the bleeder.

I just called McLeod and their guy said not to use the Valvoline Synthetic fluid I'm using, and that it could be causing the problem.....? We did not pre-bleed the system before putting it in. We figured why not just bleed it all at once? Is it really that big of a deal? We were joking with eachother about it, saying that not pre-bleeding it was the problem, but we didn't think it actually would be! If we keep bleeding it all hooked up will it eventually work out, or do we really need to take the damn thing back out?

Part of the problem of trying to bleed it in the car is its at an angle that makes the air stay in the master, Its pointed downward when mounted. I have do it but it takes a long time and its quicker to pull it back out bleed it then put it back in, then it does to try and bleed it in the car. I used a mighty vac before and it did help but I couldnt get it to work this last time so thats why I pulled it.

Well we got it yesterday afternoon. We pulled the master from the car to bench bleed it and check the seals, and found a loose bolt on the damn thing that was allowing all the fluid to escape as we tried to bleed it. The guy from McLeod wanted me to get back with him to let him know what it was; you can be sure I'm gonna let him know. Thanks anyways for the help.
