vette with spec 3+ shim slave?
Anyone installed one lately in a vette? My old clutch let up to low to the floor for my liking so I'm hoping to avoid this by using the shim with the 3+. I have a remote bleeder so the new slave will be fully blead.
After searching it seems like people like to use the adjustable master to bring the pedal up higher from the floor so I figured the shim would do almost the same thing.

Anybody else thats done a few of these? It seems like everyone likes to use the adjustable master to bring the pedal off the floor on these so I figured the shim would help a little on it's own. I can't stand the pedal engaging close to the floor as it makes shifting fast more of a chore. I just don'e want any problems with the slave not being able to fully release at the top of travel.

Slow, Normaly Corvette's to not require use of the shim...however some folks swear by it. If you choose to use the shim the release point will be higher. Keep in mind that all cars are a little different...though the expected height for release should be about mid-pedal for the vette without the shim. Proper functioning hydraulics are also important. If you have a slave or master that is not operating as it should the engagement point can be affected. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!!!

I have a new slave going in with a remote bleeder so it should be good to go. I might take off the master later to do the drill mod and make it adjustable if I need to. This is going in with a new Spec steel flywheel. Mid release is what I would like as it makes fast shifting much more possible for me. With my short shifter if seems like my foot can't keep up with the shifter when the clutch release is near the floor.
