Default LS1 T56 transmission breaking point

Guys on here that have broken a T56 out of a LS1 that KNOW how to drive, where did it break at? I'm trying to figure out how much power these trannys will take.

700 to 750ftlbs with a viper output at the rear wheels with a 28/10.5.

this is kind of a loaded question, some people have lots of hp but never launch the car hard. Others have mild builds but have stickey tires on the car and upgraded rearends. People can know how to drive and stress the transmission at the same time.

So you're saying these T56's won't hold up to mild built cars with sticky tires?

no thats not what he meant, if you run a 28" slick at the track and launch at 6k sure its probly not gonna hold a mild set up. but w/ just some dr's on the street it will hold up for a good while.

Just found the weak point on mine today. 470whp/489wtq on mt et radials with a textralia oz700. Launched at about 4k at the track today, it hooked then went boom. I'll know what broke by this weekend when i take it all out.
