Default t56 clutch and pedal

I'm a 3rd gen owner, but i swapped out my 4spd auto to the lt1 t56 so i figured I could try to ask here, I've had the t56 in my car for over a month now and I love it, but when i push my clutch pedal all the way down there is this nasty squealing sound so i have to make sure i dont press the pedal down fully, and also my clutch doesn't engage until my pedal is almost fully up so basically by pushin the clutch down about 3 or 4 inches does the job and the rest of the room it has doesn't do anything, does anybody know what could be wrong.

You are probably bottoming out the pressure plate and putting too much load on the throw out bearing .

Agreed, I've seen that b-4 with many different applications.
An adjustable master cylinder might be the ticket for you.

nevermind, i did some searching and the fact that im using the pedals from a 3rd gen is the problem because they have more movement than the 4th gen ones do, so there is no mechanical problems
