Default What clutch do I need?

Okay.....LOTS of research has pointed in about 900 different directions.....So I'm starting yet another what clutch do I need thread. Before anybody posts about the Search button....I've been searching for a long time now, and haven't quite found what I wanted.

I want a BUDGET clutch, that will hold a decent amount of power. My car will be all bolt ons, cammed, and 4.10 or 4.56 gears (in a ten bolt). It'll be probably 400-425rwhp, and will RARELY (like twice a year) see drag radials or the track.

Spec 3 or the Ls7 seem to be the best buy so far.....Any help would be great! Thanks alot!

Is the Ls7 a direct bolt in? I found in on SDPC for $399 (Clutch, PP, and Flywheel) but is that all i need?

The LS7 clutch kit is a direct bolt-on....you CAN even re-use your old bolts and all (I would re-apply some locktite to the threads if you do so.) The only other items you will need are an alignment tool and a disconnect tool for the hydraulic line (and of course your socket sets and such.)

Give us a call if we can help!

Thanks alot! I'm sure I'll probably pick one up from you guys as soon as I get the money together....I don't really want an on/off switch for a clutch, so I'm pretty much decided on the Ls7

One more question.....With 400ish rwhp cammed on motor.....Will the Ls7 clutch handle a 150 shot as long as I don't launch it hard?
