Default Drill mod different on new Master Cylinder models?

I saw somewhere that the newer master cylinders need a different drill mod procedure than before, ist that true?

The "old" way is to drill a 1/8" hole about 1" deep.

Thanks

Stefano

The newer masters just have a smaller diameter opening, so it's easier to start with a smaller bit and work up to the final bit.

I used the 1/8" bit on my brand new gm master with line. It worked great.

Thanks guys!

I'm installing a new LS6 clutch assembly and new hydraulics.
Is it worthed to make the stock master adjustable?
I did it for the old one because I had an aftermarket clutch (Spec) and shimming the slave wasn't enough.
