Default Breaking in LS7 Clutch

I am getting my car back tomorrow fresh with a new ls7 clutch kit, also new slave, throwout bearing, roller pilot, and the drill mod, i was wondering some friends want to go to the drag strip this weekend, and id like to take mine to see if changing these hydraulic components will solve th eproblems i was having with clutch pedal sticking and 2-3 shifting issues, whats a good mileage for break in period? ive heard 300-500 miles?

There was just a thread on this. A lot of people don't believe in the break-in period, I would put atleast 500 easy miles on it.

I went about 300 or miles on mine then started being a little more agressive with it. I still drive it like a grandma 99% of the time but I have taken her up on the freeways after the 300 mile mark.

I wouldnt bother with a long break in on that clutch, id drive it around town for an hour or so doing a bunch of shifting then id go beat on it.

Mine engages really close to the bottom, we've now bled it a second time to be sure. Is this a characteristic of the LS7? I guess as it "breaks in" it might engage a little higher up? It does seem easier to get into 1st and reverse now that we re-bled it. I think the only chance you take by not properly doing some break in is glazing the flywheel/clutch just like with new brakes. I've driven about 75 miles like a grandma.

It took about 300mi. for the pedal to start coming up some on my LS7. Right around 500mi. it started feeling more like stock.
When i first put it in, it engaged right off the floor, and i practiacally had to stand on the pedal just to get it in gear. I got about 750mi. on it now and its great! No problems whatsoever.
