Default differences in 93 and 94-02 tranny?need a builder also

anyone know the differences beteen a 93' lt-1 t-56 compared to a 94 and up t-56?i know mine is a borg warner and it has a 2.97 1st,is that it?i recently blew my 4th gear out at the track (i think it's my shift fork)but if i'm going to rebuild it,im gonna do it right and upgrade it!

does anyone know a good builder also?

The 1993 was offered with a m28 or m29 6 speed trans.

If you have the 2.97 first gear, then IIRC you have the m29.

When a builder is gonna build it, I think its the same... just different ratios.
I could be wrong though, its been awhile
Hope this helps!

Also, a good builder I would say would be six speeds inc (sponsor here on the boards).

Heard nothing but good things about them! Good luck

93 spec 6 speeds had a 3.36 first gear. I believe later in that year they switched to the 2.97, then later or in 94 or so, they went to the sick 2.76.
