These pics don't look pretty at all. Deffinately not smooth!

Not real sure what happened here either. There's a ring inside that is not in place right.

What you see on the PP and flywheel are hot spots, caused by overslippage, chatter, and just plain old beating on it. That looks like a stock unit so if you drive it hard its going to do that eventually. To minimize hot spots try to feather clutch as less as you can. My old LUK clutch looked like that when i took it out.

The damage on your slave appears to be a broken throwout bearing. Just buy a new slave from GM, it comes with the TO bearing.

Clutch slippage.
Any slippage at all makes things go red hot fast.

They look like my clutch when it was removed a few weeks ago. Maybe mine was worse, and I didn't take pictures.

I think that for a clutch to get that bad the clutch is never fully disengaging and is constantly slipping. I am about 99% sure that was happening on my setup because I had one of the very first McLeod adjustable masters and most if not all of them got contaminated from the rubber seals in them breaking down and causing havoc in the system. One second my pedal release is at the top, the next, at the bottom.

Ha, okay. Well, everything drove fine and felt okay. It wasn't slipping either. Anyways, I got the car with 112K miles on it so for all I know, its the original clutch! I have a new LS7 setup with all new hydraulics so i'm set.

*Oh and I rarely beat on it or really slipped the clutch. I can drive pretty well IMO.

Then I bet on the clutch never being fully engaged or disengaged due to worn out hydraulics. Guess we will never know but wow, that was impressive stuff.
