Default clutch line *pics* HELP!

im currently trying to get the clutch line out of the bellhousing and am having lots of difficulty. i've tried the 2 screwdrivers, the disconnect tool, and channel locks...still to no avail, its only making it worse by scratching the hell out of the white part. if you guys could try to help me out...you'd make me very happy

It is not easy sometimes.

I have had to rotate the release ring in times past. It helps considerably if you push the line into the fitting while trying to insert the release ring. A little penetrating oil does not hurt a thing either.

Stay with it, you'll get it!

Yeah push the line in as you push the ring in. Works for me.

I've been trying all day today, but nothing moves at all on that piece. the gold part doesn't go in any farther and if i try to spin the white part everything turns with it. is there something im doing wrong? and with the more I'm trying the more the white piece is getting ripped apart by those screwdrivers

Here's what does it for me. Open the bleeder valve to relieve the pressure, then try it again. I can always disconnect mine by hand....

Yup! This is the biggest reason for non-disengagement.

If all else fails isn't there a way to pull the transmission an inch or two, enough to get a tool in there to pull off the slave without disconnecting the line? Think I remember someone saying something about it.

If you're replacing the slave cylinder anyways i'd just break it off the slave cylinder side and deal with it once the tranny is out.

If the white clip is pushed all the way in to it's outer lip, then the line should come out. If it isn't, it isn't pushed in all the way.

Like someone said above...push the line in while you are pushing the clip in, which you have to do all the way around. You can lower the tail of the trans some to get more room.

After installing my McLeod bellhousing, slave shims, and new clutch..I actually have to open the bleeder screw to get the line back in cause the system had pressure.

Assuming you are replacing the clutch?
