Default Rotational Noise ???

Hello,
My car started acting up a while ago with this weird rotational noise.
It only makes this noise when the car is in gear, and under a load. If I let off the gas it stops, if I push in the clutch it stops. Mind you, the car has to be rolling for this noise to become. The faster the car moves, the faster this noise is.
The sound reminds me of when I was a kid and put baseball cards in my bicycle spokes. The faster I went the louder it got.
I can feel this in my shifter. I can hear this, with the window down @ 55 mph bouncing off the guardrail.
BUT only when the car is under load! Take it out of gear and rev it to the red line and no sound. So I've ruled out the motor. As for the tranny???????????? I was hopeing someone has had this problem or knows someone who has.
Thanks For Your Time, Jeff

Agreed I would check the u-joints and the rear first most likely not the problem since you can bump it out of gear and the noise goes away but you never know. sounds like a bearing in the trans is going or the rear bushing is worn enough that the drive shaft is moving around
