Default shifter for a t56 from a gto

I have searched thru the achieves and not found the answer I need.
I have a dropout LS2/T56 going in my 65 Elky. I bought a Pro 5.0 shifter but when I installed it the lever is indexed wrong.
Not gonna work. Is there a good aftermarket shifter that will work for me?

Or is the answer to change the trannie to work with the shifter I have?
Any help is appreciated.

Is this a ls2 gto tranny? if so all you need to do is replace the offset lever with the f-body offset lever. Give us a call on Monday we have them in stock.
