Default !cags questions

I just did the !cags mods using the resistor, following the guide at installuniversity.com. Everything went smoothly and the lock does not activate anymore, but the site said that the "skip shift" light should still be coming on. Mine doesn't anymore at all. Should i be concerned or not?
