Default Shortest throw shifter....Not with handle!

All the threads I found had so much whoring about the handle length I couldn't find a definite answer about which one had the shortest throw mechanically within the shifter assembly and nothing to do with the length of the handle.

With my custom application i'm having some engagement issues under hard shifting due to shifter rod flex hitting my console and I need a less throw off the tranny. I currently have a SLP shifter. Which one has a shorter mechanical assembly throw?
Thanks.

Pro 5.0 with the stick shortened an inch.

It won't come anywhere NEAR hitting your console and it is quick/precise.

Agreed. I'm running a Pro 5.0 in my car, probably the best shifter i've ever used.

Ok, I have a truck and a custom handle/boot etc. my actual problem is I didn't leave enough material on my boot to reach 2nd gear well. The boot pulls tight and sometimes won't go all the way in when your rough on it. Thus I need a shifter less throw distance. Here is what i have.

sounds like you just need to get a upr adjustable handle and/or maybe an angled handle/****

Here's my custom handle made out of 5/8" stock and a torch. I got the torch out last night and made a few adjustments. I think i've found a happy medium that will work.
