Quick T56 guys, what trans are you running?
I'm putting my car back together now. I've got the usual package from Amber and crew.....was just wondering what everybody else had packed in their Tremec's? I'm gonna see if mine holds, but if not, I need to go where to go next *I've got a built TH350 sitting up, but I'm trying to leave it sitting*
Oh, not sure if it matters or not for the advice....but the combo is a healthy 346 on a couple kits...

Mine is not up and running yet but i had a local builder throw all the normal carbon syncros, billet keys, sliders, steel fork, new bearing etc in mine. I plan on it handling my T76 346 combo just fine (700rwhp) just tyring to decide on a clutch.

I'm all about having a 6 spd and banging some gears. But if I was going to a 440 ci motor and a large shot like that, I'd go auto, If you were planning on going large motor and smaller shot, I'd prolly stick with the 6 spd...
As far as a tranny, I'm buying all my parts from Joe/Amber..

418,
Thanks....but what does that have to do with this thread?
Six Speed Inc.,
How are the street manners? Also, are you running a stock input shaft?
Thanks,
-Will

We have a viper input shaft only because we have a custom bellhousing and needed the longer input shaft. We ran the stock input shaft when we went 9.26 without issues. Street driving is very challenging and should only be done with extreme caution. Downshifting is the hardest. You also have to service it every 100 passes or every 2000 miles which ever comes first.

PS: You can pm projectGTO (not sure on the spelling of his board name). He has a faceplated trans he daily drives. It is in a RX7. Our street car has one but we are so use to it because of the race car I can't give you a unbiast opinion.

Thanks for the honesty....I'll try and ask some people who run them on the street .
Also, what do you mean by "serviced"?
I know what bell you run, nice parts, no doubt. I'm gonna attempt to run a stock bell, with an SFI blanket, and see how it works for me....
Thanks again!
