Default Spec 3+ with aluminum pp?

Anybody have some experience with a Spec 3+ with the Aluminum pressure plate? Wondering if it is really worth the extra 200bucks? I cannot find any info on how much lighter it is from the regular spec 3+ clutch& pressure plate, anyone know? Thanks!!!

I've done several with the billet steel and the clutch works GREAT! I'm doing one with a alum flywheel next week so I'll hit you with a pm afterwards. I have the clutch at the shop now and it weighed a 39 lbs 14 oz on my scales so it is a light weight and should be a really nice seutp.

cool, thanks!!! But that weight is including a billet steel flywheel- probably about 18ish lbs?(so the clutch and pp are about 22lbs?) My main concern is how much the aluminum pressure plate saves versus the regular one, however, it seems no one really has experience with this.
-Keep in mind that a stock LS1 clutch and flywheel are about 49lbs(stock flywheel is 24.5lbs).
-LS7 clutch and flywheel are a lot heavier at 57ish lbs.

the alum flywheel setup weighed 39 lbs 14 oz. The alum housing on the pressure plate drops another 6 lbs off. That is what I was told when I talked to them.

Oh wow, thanks!!! Would you recommend getting the aluminum housing on the pressure plate for an extra 200 or do you think it is a waste of $$$?

I think it is a waste since it only saves 6 lbs on a already really light setup. I'd stick with the regular housing and the alum wheel. I think this is a killer setup! I'll let you know though, we should have it in the car soon. Waiting on the tranny to be worked over right now.
