Default 4 -5 shift grinding

like the title says, my 5th gear grinds bad when i am at the top of 4th and go for 5th. whats weird is that if im just driving and put in the clutch and rev to 6k, it goes in fine. Its only when i'm actually going ~130 in 4th does it grind. I'm not to sure how a tranny works so any help would be awesome. Thought i read that someone got a pro 5.0 and that problem stopped for them... but then again i have no idea

Mine was grinding like that and then 6th started to as well. By the time I tore it down, 5th was toast and 6th was screwed too! How many miles on it?

The blocker ring is probably worn causing the transmission to grind. Does it only do it on a quick shift at the top of forth, or a quick shift at a lower rpm?

What I'm suggesting is it probably grinds based on how you are shifting it not what rpm the engine is at. Most people aren't speedshifting their t56's from 4th to 5th at 4000 rpms for example.
