Default tranny noise...

This is the first time i have owned a t - 56 car and I was wandering is it usual to have a little bit of gear wine in 5th and 6th?? nothing horrible but you can hear it.

Are you shure its just in those 2 gears and now through every gear. I.E. Rear end gear whine.

+1. Usually the gear whine is from the rear end, not the tranny. Sometimes you only tend to notice it in 5th or 6th, like when you're cruising on the highway. And sometimes it's just at certain MPH that you notice it.

In 5th or 6th does it stop when let off the throttle, and start when you get back on the throttle. Mine does but its my gears in the rear.
