problems mounting viper t56 behind ls1

Default problems mounting viper t56 behind ls1

i replaced the front plate and input shaft with new ls1 pieces,used mccleod
mcl87100 bellhousing and the trans likes about 1/4 inch going all the way up.i know the cluch is lined up. we measured and i belive the input shaft is bottoming in out in the pilot bearing! the engine had a new roller pilot bearing installed ao i never changed it with the bushing in the bellhousing kit. can anyone help? thanks

I am pretty sure the Viper input has a longer pilot tip than a GM . Its been a while since I messed with one though .
