Default LT1 Scatter shield question

I have an LT1 t56 bolted to my big block chevy in my 68 camaro. Im wondering what to do about safety since they dont make a scattershield for the lt1 style unless you convert the clutch or something? Ive seen lt1 camaros in the low 9's so there has to be somethign they do for safety. Any help is appreciated.

thanks
jesse

Depending on how you do the install there are a few different ways to achieve this .

First is to use the adapter plate on Ebay and bolt it up to a SFI older style bellhousing that uses a mechanical clutch system .

Or you can use a shield that bolts to the out side of the bellhousing using the block bolts .
