Worth it to get an aftermarket shifter?
wondering if it would be worth it to get an after market shifter for my car.
02 ws5 with stock shifter. should I go with a new shifter or just stick with the hurst with a short stick?

I have had the three most popular choices out there... B&M Ripper shifter, Pro 5.0 and the factory Hurst with a short throw shifter. And my favorite out of all three is the Hurst with the short shift lever. Just feels so good and since it came on my car alls I had to buy was a short throw shifter.

Hmm, I've driven all three and currently have the Pro 5.0, but I could see myself swapping back to a stock Hurst with the short stick at some point. I liked the soft feel of it for just cruising. If it's strictly for racing, go Pro 5.0. I can't stand the B&M Ripper that I've driven (on my dad's 04 GTO).

ive never owned a pro 5.0, but i have owned a regular hurst and a b&m. i went back to the stock hurst with a short stick. i dont think it would be worth spending $180 bucks on an aftermarket shifter when you can buy a short stick. just spend $25 on a short stick and be done with it. you wont regret it.
