Clutch is dragging. You can do some damage to the tranny driving it like that. I'd start with bleeding the system and see if that helps. Search fot Ranger, he has a good sight about maintaining clutch fluid.

I second the bleed!

Now that it's been reaffirmed, try it out...

Was this a new install or a recent issue??

Troubleshoot in this order. If you're gonna do 4, you might as well do 5, too.

1) Flush and bleed the fluid.
2) Do the drill mod.
3) Replace the master cylinder.
4) Replace the slave cylinder.
5) Replace the clutch.

so i bled the system today, it seemed to work at first but after a couple of minutes i had the same problem. it smells like crap but it isnt as bad, i am going to try to powerbleed it tomarrow and maybe try the drill mod. anyone have any pictures/write up on drill mod. i tried a search, not pictures tho, the one on install university is confusing so if anyone had any pictures that would be awsome.

Go to www.installuniversity.com for a write-up on the drill mod with pics.

After the bleed, give the drill mod a shot since it's free, but my next move if that doesn't work would be to try an adjustable master (RAM or McLeod, or make your own).

How high are your RPMs when it starts moving on you?
