Default driveshaft length

ok im sure this has been answered before, but are the m6 and a4 driveshafts the same length? and what is diff about them? im wanting to get an aluminum shaft, and i found an automatic one cheap but...my car is a m6...will it work on my car?

If you have a stock output shaft on your transmisson it will slide right in. 26spline is what it is from factory

yeah the steel vibrator is out...man i hate that thing!!!...thanks for the help, and im hoping to have an aluminum shaft in a few days!
