Default Final questions about master/slave before I take it in

So my clutch is feeling worse every week. It has gotten to the point where under a cold start, the first half of the clutch pedal feels completely free.

I was thinking about buying a GM 01-02 slave and taking it to a tranny shop to have it installed. But people have been telling me to get the master replaced as well. The thing is, if I replace my master, I'd want the McLeod adjustable, and that would empty my wallet. Would I be alright if I just replaced the slave and held off on the master? Replacing the master does not involve taking off the tranny right?

Any other suggestions? Replace the slave and bleed the master (don't know anything about hydros really)?

The clutch is fairly new.

You would be okay to run a new slave with an old master, but the master may be a problem too. Honestly if you're tapped on funds, I'd do a new master / slave combo (GM) and drill mod it. If bled right, I think you'll be entirely pleased; no McLeod needed.

What Kind of clutch is in? They didnt replace the slave when they did it? I would try a good bleed first.

When I bought the car in December, the owner told me the clutch was replaced 4k ago. He didn't specify which kind.

What do I bleed, the slave?

yeah. Its tough to get to. Need two people. When you do a good flush you'd be flushing the master and slave out.

I'm not home, so I gotta take it to a shop. I think I'll go ahead and replace both the slave and master for peace of mind.
