Spec Stage 1
Some friends of mine helped me put a clutch in my car a few months ago, a spec stage 1. There seems to be a whole lot of chatter, I sent spec an e-mail and they said it would smooth out after some hard driving. It still seems a little much but any input would help me out a lot.

SS...how many miles are on the clutch? If you have not surpassed the 500 miles of suggested break-in mileage then you do in fact need to put some more miles on it. If you feel that there is an issue you are welcome to pull the kit and send me some pics of the assembly for assessment.

SS, Honestly, Pull that POS off the car. I went through 2 Spec Stage 1 clutches in less that 3 months. SPEC is the worst company i have ever bought from. I had the same thing where it would Chatter like a mother. It was unbareable. I called them and all they did was blame me for installing it wrong. Get that crap out of ur car and buy a LS7/LS2 clutch kit. You will never look back trust me. I love mine. No Chatter whats-so-ever.

A friend of mine had a spec stage 3 clutch that chattered a lot, even after a few hundred miles of break-in. He took it in to a tuning shop and they found that the clutch was put on incorrectly and it damaged the flywheel. They just threw in a new flywheel and it fixed the problem. Personally I say LS7 clutch ftw.
