t56 question

will a cts-v 6-spd work in a 2000 ws6 6spd and what are the differences i ask this because mine blew up and i need a tranny and i know someone with that t56 out of the cts-v

I am 99% sure they are different but its been a while since I worked on one of those units . I think its the one with the threaded end on the mainshaft .
