Default T-56 Question

Will the T-56 out of a C5 corvette fit into an F-body? (More specifically a 2000 SS) Are they the same transmission? Same input/output shafts?

I called my local dealer but they were no help at all...I figured most of you guys know more than them anyways...

No, the C5s use a rear transaxle style transmission.

Ok, Thats what I was thinking but I haven't seen one in person and I wasn't sure about the drivetrain setups on the C5s.

Thanks for the quick response.
