short stick is too short

short stick is too short I bought the short stick from ws6 store and its too short or Im too tall. It just doesnt feel right. I do however love the way the factory hurst feels without the rubber isolator. can I just cut this thing and weld an extra inch of some steel rod or something to this thing to lengthen it a bit with my mig welder?? what kind of metal do i need??

Short sticks are not comfortable for me either. I am glad to see someone else post about it. It you want to change the whole shifter, you would like the B&M. I'm not sure what to do about the stick length though. Could the standard stick from a Pro5.0 work?

Keep your eye open for a Hurst bolt-on stick. It doesn't have to be T56 specific as the old 4-speed handles will work. They have one that is straight and measures 8-9". It will bolt to the factory Hurst base and give you just what you're looking for.

The 6.5 inch + a good shifter **** should be a decent height. Either the Hurst one or a C5 shifter should still put it an inch shorter than stock, but give that feel that's much improved over the rubber isolator.
