Default How do you tell if you have the factory Hurst shifter?

I"ve got a guy that I want to buy his shifter from him. We're pretty sure it's the factory Hurst, because the car came with the factory Hurst leather shifter on it. It's out of a 98 WS6. How do you tell if it's just the regular shifter, or the Hurst by looking at it?

Hurst wasnt a factory option till 1999 or 2000 model years.

Also, WS6 does not mean Hurst. The BBS option had to be added for about $325 list price, either to the base model or WS6 model.

Okay. I sent him a PM to get a pic for me. I'll post it up later, once I get it. Do the factory Hurst shifters still have the same stick as the non-hurst ones?

Yes, both shifters come with the same rubber dampened stick.

Well, I found another one for cheaper. From the pic, I'm pretty sure it's the factory Hurst, from other pics I've seen. I just want someone to verify it for me.
