Default Putting in my new shifter

So, I got a factory Hurst shifter the other day, and I want to put it in later this afternoon. It didn't come with the bolts to hold the base down, so, I was wondering if I could just re-use the bolts from the stock shifter that's still in my car. Also, what else should I know about installing it? I saw in some other threads, that people were using RTV to make a good seal with. Anything else I should know?

After some searching through threads. I found this site for gaskets. www.fbodyshiftergaskets.com. I think I can spare $7 for some good gaskets. I'll just have to wait until next weekend or sometime later this week to put in the shifter.

I've put in a bunch of them. I've always just used rtv, let it "skin over" for about 15 minutes, then put it back together.
