Converting a T56 to be used on a SBC with an SBC style clutch?
Has anyone done this? I'm sure it's possible. What I want to do is use the clutch I'm currently using on my TKO600 (spec 3+) and when I swap to my new m6 use the same clutch. Is there a conversion kit for the throwout bearing or anything out there? Any info appreciated!

A friend did this and then I did it differently.
Just to screw around with the idea because he had multiple extra "push" clutches, he modified the pivot / fulcrum that bolts to the LT1 T56 so that the fork was traditional direction (for a "push" clutch.) That with old style GM clutch linkage resulted in a very quick release (similar to using a hydraulic 84-92 F-body bellhousing / fork with 82-83 mech linkage.) He used a throwout bearing of unknown PN to fit the LT1 "bearing retainer" sleeve. It was a taller bodied bearing sleeve too. Clutch release was quite quick but worked fine. The trans. was not chopped up but the bell was cut.
I bought that trans. from him and did some measuring and other machining, modification and work. My version uses 83 F-body fork, TO brg, ballstud location and I run mechanical 78-81 A-body linkage in a G-body with a normal 26 spline push clutch. Works fine.
You provided no detail other than your transmission. I'll just say that I spent a fair amount to avoid using LT1 clutch & flywheel which would have bolted right in.
