Default LS1 vs LS7 clutch weight *PICS*

Got my new LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel. Just thought I would show the weight difference between the two. LS7 is on left in picture, LS1 on right. Look at the thick *** LS2 flywheel.

That's quite surprising...

though those 7lbs can be felt as "slower" revving through the rpm range. Noticed it from day 1 when I went to the LS7 clutch. The gain in clamping power though is well worth it.

Do you mind if I use your pics for a all about the ls7 thread? Also have it stickied on another forumthat I would like to use the pics on(not really sure why it never got stickied here but its all good). I've come across people posting the weight differance but these are the first pics I've come across that actually show the difference.

That is why I went with an aluminum flywheel when I put in my LS7 clutch. Instead of gaining 7lbs, I lost 5lbs. I can feel the loss (and I love it), but it's not as extreme as putting an AF on an LS1 clutch. My streetability is just fine.
