Default What clutch flywheel??

I am think about getting a clutch and flywheel. My stock clutch is starting to slip when I really "get after it." My current mods are in my sig.. along with dyno numbers. I plan on doing atleast a big cam in the future.. most likely stage 2 heads also. What is a good clutch and flywheel that will not break... and will not break my bank account.

Should I do a new flywheel.. is it worth it?

Thanks guys!!

If I had to do it all over again here is what id do.

Spec III Disk only
Fidanza Flywheel

The flywheel put a smile across my face the first time I took her out. I have a friend that was cutting 1.49's on his spec 3 ceramic disk, no plate, no fly, no master just the disk.

I just picked up a RAM 402/6130 combo with a Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Gunna put it all together with a McLeod master, and new stock slave. Ill post up how it all works out. But from what i hear, the RAM setup is good for high HP, but is still liveable on the street. It can be a little agressive, and i do expect to blow up my stock 10 bolt eventually, but im going to be easy on it. Also, the lightened flywheel isnt meant for drag racing.. not enough rotational mass. But ill make it work

What are the prices on some of the stuff that you guys have mentioned so far. The car will not see all that much track action.. due to work schedule, but I would like to be able to drive it hard when I want on the street. What do you guys reccomend.

Like I said I want good stuff that won't have to make me ride the bus instead of driving my car because I have no gas money left after the clutch and flywheel.. Ha Ha!!

Is there a good flywheel that works well on the track as well as a daily driver?

Thanks for the info so far.. keep it coming!!

Is a new flywheel worth it, and/or necessary?

I haven't put a clutch into my camaro yet, but the last clutch install I did, I just put in a centerforce (mediocre/crap) and resurfaced the old flywheel. That should be sufficient for your needs. It is a steel flywheel and therefore has a higher rotational inertia than an aluminum one. That will help you in drag launches over an aluminum flywheel. Hope this helps...
