Need help ASAP with hydraulic issue Please!!!!
Just got the tranny back in last night new master and slave, I go to fill the resevoir and fluid just drains straight through and comes out the hole in the bellhousing and yes the bleeder is closed . What in the world is causing the fluid to drain straight through? Yes there is a shim on as well I have the spec 3.
EDIT: Also before the tranny installed i had the line in the slave obviously and there were NO leaks at all and held the fluid just fine. As soon as i installed the tranny with the shim got everything buttoned up and put the fluid in it just leaks straight through you cant even pump the pedal, what gives on this?

Ryan,
Sounds like the base of the slave is busted. If you dead headed the slave (when you tighten the trans down without disconnecting the hydraluic line it has the potential to crack the inner portion of the slave) it busted the base. If you put the new slave on it that is the only thing I can think of. It would drain out just like you are discribing.

PS: If you need more help pm me. I will try to stay on for a little while.
