I'm looking at a 1996 Z28 that has 44000 miles on it. And it said in his ad that he replaced the clutch, which sounded weird to me. So I sent him an email asking a few questions along with why he replaced the clutch and his response was, "normal wear and tear". How long should a clutch last if you drive the car properly? Or did this guy just drive the **** out of this car. I've never owned a manual car so I don't know how long they should last. The car is in immaculate shape other wise from what I can tell from his pics. Should I still consider the car?

Could be a faulty part, or he may have driven with his foot on the clutch. With a hydrolic clutch any little bit that you may push down on it, relieves a little pressure off of the clutch. Or he may have driven alot of stop and go traffic, ALOT. I guess it could be alot of things, best thing would be to drive the car and then make a decission then
