Default what gear is 1:1 ratio

what gear do you have to be in for the transmittion to be in a 1:1 ratio.. is it 4th or 5th?....

When in 4th, the synchro locks the input shaft to the synchro which is hubbed to the mainshaft. That remains the same, 3.42:1 rear or otherwise.

4th, that's why you dyno in 4th on a t56.
