There is a plug on the tranny, on the left side, that takes a 3/8" inch square drive. It should be filled to the bottom of that plug.

Its cool... So if I take that plug out its not going to overflow out of it?

HVS-GST-300... thanks for the pic., helped me alot...

How do you add the fluid if it needs it? I dont have access to a pump with dexron 3... can a funnel fit under there?

Thanks for the replys!

It won't flow out of the hole unless it was overfilled.

If you don't have a pump the easiest way is to remove the shifter and fill it through the opening. Or you could get one of those little siphon pumps for less than $10...

I do it laying right on the floor with no jack, a 3/8 wrench no socket, and my finger to see how low. If you can get a lift it's so easy to stand there to drain and fill. There is a similar screw on the passenger side closer to the tailshaft and lower that you use to drain the fluid. You don't need a lift to do it a jack and stands will do if you can't fit your arms under there. A baster isn't going to work you need a pump that screws onto the bottle and depending on the type you buy, one is the pump handle, and the other you squeeze the bottle to fill. Try to get a long enough hose, piece a couple together, otherwise; you'll be laying under the car for awhile pumping fluid. The only other way to fill the trans is to remove the shifter which is lots more work than just using the fill hole.

no the siphon pump hes talking about i think is similar to a caulking gun...but with a tube and you suck it full and push in the new fluid...if you havent one it before just completely change the fluid while your there...one bolt to drain...then the other to refill until it leaks from it
