Default billet flywheel?

Is a billet or light weight flywheel worth it in a street strip car? I am looking for a new clutch and flywheel and wondering if it is worth it and any suggestions on clutch. I have mti lid, lt headers, corsa cat back, and planing to go to a 408 with in the nest couple years. Thanks for you help Penning

If it's for drag racing, go with the billet steel; auto-x go with the aluminum/light weight. From my understanding, the billet steel holds the RPMs up better than aluminum flywheel on shifts, while it will rev a bit faster for the auto-x where you're constantly slowing down, then speeding up.

I would suggest a billet flywheel when you upgrade to a nice clutch.
