T-56 diagnostic help!!
K. Here's the symptoms. If I'm cruising at 40mph and just play in neutral and push into 4th it will likely grind. If I blip the throttle before I downshift it goes right in.. And when accelerating if I gun it in 3rd it goes into 4th fine.. However if I gun it at, say, 20mph and go thru 2nd, 3rd, then try to go into 4th, the clutch is usually stuck to the floor. I believe that's a separate issue. Here's what I think it is... I think the occasional 4th gear downshift grind is a syncro/fork. However, a buddy of mine said it's possibly a bad blocker ring?? I dunno. And as far as the clutch sticking to the floor, he said it's a bad slave. So I just purchased a new slave and we're gonna check the clutch/pressure plate while we're in there to see how it looks. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

I need help determining if the pedal sticking is a slave/master issue, or if it's a pressure plate issue. My buddy said it's not the clutch/pressure plate b/c it's not slipping... Here's my thing, if I gun it in 3rd I can hit 4th fine. If I gun it at a low speed and go threw a few gears (thus giving it time to get hot) it sticks. So am I wrong to think it's a slave/master issue due to the fact that the only variable here is time, and by that I mean it has more time to heat up? Thanks for your patience, as I am a mechanical moron.
