Default What Clutch to Go With?

I wanted to run a Centerforce clutch but just got finished reading about all BS associated with high RPM shifting. I'm going to be shifting around 6,000 and have somewhere between 400-500 hp. What are some good clutches for my application? Spec 2+?

Thanks

Ram HD or Mcleod. I wouldn't put a SPEC clutch in my car if they gave it to me free.

Centerforce dual friction 12" ($400), you wont get the high rpm shifting problems with the 12" version, the 11" you will

SPEC 3+ is by far the most common clutch on LS1Tech.

I feel like I have used about every clutch out there.

Centerforce I wouldn't bother with
Mcleod, was good clutch when new, but very short life on the street only lived 4k miles
Currently Ram HDX, So far really nice

sdpc or byunspeed. just remember to get the flywheel too because it is larget than the normal ls1 one. It should only run around 430 for a press plate, disc and fly. Mine has been in for a few thousand miles and grabs great

I'm not knocking Mcleod, I almost went back with it. But got a really good deal on the Ram.

Not sure if the stock flywheel hurt it, the slave cylinder went out in there some wear. So it could have been one of a few things.

I really like my Ram HDX, it is heavier than stock, but not overbearing. Make sure and do the drill mod if you haven't already. The engagement is exactly like the stock one I had in there.
