Default LS7 clutch Installed

Hey guys i bought a ls7 clutch kit from SDparts.com. Super cheap deal. i installed it in my 2k Trans Am with about 108k on the old stock ls1 clutch. the old clutch disc didn not look bad but the FW and PP was hot spoted bad but i could still drive it and street race with it. The LS7 clutch now has about 400 miles on it. Man it a night and day differance in the ls7 and the ls1. I cant wait to see what it will do on the track....

If anyone else has this clutch fill me in on how ur clutch is handling what power u have. thanks chris

Mine's got about 1000 miles on it now, I was pushing 346rwhp/386rwtq through an unlocked converter before my car was swapped to an M6. I'd estimate around 370-375rwhp now through the M6. Handles my power levels like a dream.

I daily drive 315 Nitto 555Rs, they're like a really good street tire.

I went 7.01 @ 103 mph with a 1.71 60ft with mine. Launched at about 3500 on Hoosier QTPs and short shifted at 6000 the whole run.

On a LS7 clutch

Newb, he means after switching from an automatic transmission to a manual transmission. Less parasitic loss, not more power.

Depends on useage. I haven't taken these to the track and it's been about 10 months of ownership and I still have a good amount of wear left. I DD the car, probably 8k miles with little to no burn outs so far.

Hey guys i have a lil over 500 miles on the clutch and it still feels good, but i put a new master cylinder in today in now it feels funny and it grabs really low. Im goin to try and bleed it again tommorrow and see if it makes any differance.

the clutch works too god i have it paired up with 305 555r nittos, i got 7k miles on the nittos and 3 good john force burn outs at the track, and maybe 3-4 decent burn outs on the street and still a lot of tread left. the clutch worked amazing launching at 4k, the clutch loves power shifting, my transmission didnt however, broke my 3-4 shift fork at camaro v firebird day
