Default Clutch Noise

Follow up BELOW \/\/\/

I installed a TEXTRALIA OZ700 clutch about 500 miles ago. When I turn the car off and the clutch is engaged, something makes a rattling sound. However if the pedel is down and the clutch DIS engaged it does not make this sound. The clutch does well as long as you give it enough gas, otherwise it chatters like a bitch. Thought I spend all this money so it wouldnt do this. The clutch has been completely bled with 2 full bottles of DOT 3. Any Ideas?

I bleed the hell out of the system so I dont think that there is any air in the system. The clutch was babied for about 100 miles but then it ran at the track.

doing a pass at the track with 100 miles on a new clutch is bad. keep driving in stop and go traffic and then after 500 more miles start to beat it a little. my clutch didnt fully seat until about 2500 miles!

But do you know what the noise that i am hearing actually is? I understand that I should have put more of a break in period but wouldnt a bad break in just give a shorter clutch life?

I'd say it's the throwout bearing.

The Car has 737.0 Miles since that new clutch was installed. It has been to the track 1 time doing 3 runs. It has never done a burnout or hard thrashing oh the street with this clutch.
Pulled the transmission after I bought a brand new slave and ARP pp and flywheel bolts. This is what I found out. TOB was perfectly fine. Slave looks fine. Pilot bearing looks fine.
However this didnt look good.

So what happened to this clutch. On the drive to my house to work on the car it was chattering really bad in 1st and chattered in 2nd as well.
What this a case of a defective product?
Inproper installation?
Or a different reaseon?
Any input would be appreciated.

Did you have any disengagement issues? My McLeod took a lot of unexpected abuse because the hydraulics weren't up to par and were not disengaging the clutch. Luckily, the clutch is freakin' HOSS and is still alright... just worn.

No noticable disengagement issues. But engaging it was a problem. It would chatter really bad unless you got the car to 2000 rpm and would slightly chatter in 2nd aswell. When I first put the clutch in it chattered worse and it just needed more bleeding, so I did that but the chattering was still there and got worse over time. And tex says that stock hydros will work fine.
The only thing that didnt feel right other then the bad chatter was the rattleing sound when the car was turned off with the clutch engaged. I still dont know what that noise was.
Anyone think that I can get tex to give me back some of my money? My guess is no. Will probably go with spec after I figure this mess out.
