70k and having clutch replaced... master cyl required?
I'm having my clutch replaced by a shop. They've sort of talked me out of having them put in a new master cylinder. Although a new slave is going in. I've had shifting problems in the past with my pedal sinking before my tranny blew... But would I be an idiot to Not have them put a new master in? Maybe have them do the drill mod too? Thanks in advance...

When putting in a new clutch, replacing the slave is a bigger deal than the master since accessing the slave requires dropping the trans. The master can easily be replaced at a later date if problems arise. If you've had pedal issues in the past, might not be a bad idea to replace it, 70k miles & 8 yrs isn't a bad service life. Your choice.

Nice. Thanks guys. I also just ordered an LS7 clutch from Jesse @scoggin-dickey. He also said that it wasn't imperative for me to do it now. So I won't worry about it until I find something's still wrong with the car.
