Default Grinding Noise in all gears under heavy throttle

I was crusinin around doing 30mph in 3rd, coming onto a circle... I decide to give it some gas, and I guess my transmission really didnt like it. I hear a grinding coming out of the trans, really dont feel much in the shifter, but i let off the gas. I ONLY hear it when I give it a certain amount of gas, like almost flooring it at that speed. It also did it in 5th gear doing about 55mph. I went to push it a little more than maybe 1/3rd throttle and i heard the same grind. but if i just beat the **** out of the car i hear nothing???!! wtf

My Formula only made a grinding noise under deceleration and was fine at full throttle. Sent the trans to Six Speeds Inc. and had to have them do a Stage 4 rebuild on it. I took out the cluster, the input shaft, and 4 gears. Hopefully that's not what your problem is, but it doesn't sound good.

Check your trans mount and make sure it is good. If its torn loose it might be letting something like your exhaust come into contact with the floor. That sounds like a grinding sound but its just exhaust hitting on the floor brace.

Good luck, Tom

ill check that out, but from what it sounds like it defenitly feels like grinding in the trans. but ill cross my fingers and hope that it really is a trans mount
